Overview of Topics:
Student will examine issues such as the changing nature of family and households to the causes and reason for educational success and failure. Further areas of investigation will be global development and the nature of crime and deviancy, within all the subject theory and methods will be blended into syllabus. Brief exam information (nature of assessment).

Two examination papers
Paper 1: 1½ hours, written examination, 60 marks and 50% of the AS level
Paper 2: 1½ hours, written examination, 60 marks and 50% of the AS level
Year 13
Three examination papers
Paper 1: 2 hour, written examination, 80 marks and 33.3% of the A-level
Paper 2: 2 hour, written examination, 80 marks and 33.3% of the A-level
